Tixtli by Nixta
Promoting heirloom corn by elevating downtown tacos y mas
Kate and Gustavo Romero are the nixtamal power couple of the Twin Cities. During Covid, they started as a small tortilleria, and quickly grew to supply grocery stores, restaurants and kitchens across the Twin Cities. They currently run the James Beard nominated Oro by Nixta, where corn is king on the menu. Tixtli by Nixta is their throwback to the early days of their operation, and that was amazing tacos being eaten to go only, often right outside on top of old ironing boards.
Opening in February at Graze, you'll be able to enjoy their tacos, tortillas, and masa based dishes at real tables in the heart of the vibrant city they love and have made their home. A small but thoughtful menu will rotate seasonally, but the constant will be corn reimagined in ways that the Midwest has not yet embraced. Oh, and tacos. Tacos will also be constant. They are excited to join the culinary geniuses at Graze to elevate tacos and bring better tortillas to more hungry people.
